* Eco Tours to the Center for Traditional Maya Medicine:
The center is a storehouse of multidisciplinary knowledge of holistic health and offers access to traditional medicine practitioners who provide consultations and produce natural remedies.

An important instrument in the traditional healing process is the temazcal (traditional steam bath), which dates back to prehispanic times.

Uniting the four elements of nature in the temazcal: fire, water, air, and earth (in the form of healing herbs), together these elements serve to relax and rejuvenate the body and soul.

Utilized for centuries as a method of physical and spiritual purification, the temazcal is intended to provide relief from the stresses of everyday life and facilitate a meditative state of mind.

Programs we coordinate include guided tours of the center, translation services for consultations with expert practicioners, a limpia (ritual cleansing), a domed temazcal (traditional steam bath), medicinal plant therapy, massage and flowered herbal baths.
